Kitsune! Imayoshi x Reader Part 3


"M-mother?" The blonde woman jolted when she saw you call for her from the door.

It was a look of disbelief and something you cannot recognize... is it happiness, sadness or was it anger?

"Mom!" You called out. It has been a long time since you last saw her---you were like 5 when you last saw her...

*flashback*
You were playing  house and she was making cookies for you and your friends. You weren't really a big fan of sweets when you were young and even now...but still she made them for you and your friends and orange juice too..you ate with your friends...but later that day, your stomach started hurting...and you started throwing out all the stuffs that you ate and then everything went black...when you woke up from that terrible stomachache, she was nowhere to be seen...but your father was beside you and he was crying...

"Daddy?" Your voice croaked, you feel so drained and want to sleep more...but your father is crying...

"I'm so glad you're ok" he whispered, "you were found unconscious by our neighbor...what happened? Where's your mother?"

"Mom was making snacks..."

"She wasn't there sweetie--mommy isn't there-"

"Someone took mommy?"

"Yes, and grandma's..." He whispered tearfully...

That's the last thing you remembered that day thought it was just a dream...when you were discharged, you attended a funeral...it was your grandmother's...

"What happened to grandma daddy?" You asked, when he looked at you, he smiled and said

"She went to heaven with grandpa."

"And mom?"

"Mommy?" He sighed bitterly "I don't know...she went home to her parents probably...to Okinawa?"

"To her parents? When will I be able to meet grandma and grandpa there?"

"Soon, they'll probably busy at the moment." He added.

"O-ok."

*end flashback*

Since then, you havent seen your mother- and eventually you started forgetting that she existed...until now...

"Mother...mom?" You wanted to run to her and hug her and never let her go- but when you stepped forward, you felt your body tense...it was as if your body doesn't want to let you move or rather...let you go to her.

It was your father who walked to her and almost tripped on his way and grabbed her into a very tight hug.

"Where were you!?" He grumbled. "I was looking all over for your for years! For almost eternity!"

"(Daddy/n)--I--I was taken away- my a strange man! I--" her sentence was cut off when her eyes trailed back to you.

"(Name)" she murmured shakily- "you're alive-and well!" She seems surprised- but her eyes slowly produced tears...

"I'm so glad you're well!" she called, crying now.

"--Yes..." you cannot answer immediately- it seems so...different?

No, nothing changed...this is how you remember her...she would cling to your father and call for you...

"I'm back now- I'm not leaving anymore- he cannot take me away from you again" she called for you and you moved your legs to go near her.

Whatever happened to your mother when she disappeared was immediately forgotten- or rather, she keeps brushing off the topic whenever your father starts talking about it...

"What is important, is that I am already here (d/n)." Was what she would always say.

You were watching your parents being in charge in the kitchen the next day; normally, its only your dad working everything in the morning- today, you father is supposed to leave for Sapporo- but he cancelled; he'll leave on the day after tomorrow.

'He looks happy. That's great.' You smiled as you went upstairs to get your things for school...

When you grabbed your bag, you accidentally bumped the empty fishbowl where you placed rubber and hair clips...the accessories was scattered on the floor and then you saw the small pearl-like ball.

"Ah!" You quickly recognize the ball and picked it up. When you fell asleep the last time, you woke up completely forgetting where you placed the small thing. You placed it in your pocket- maybe you'll give it back to the owner later---who else?

Imayoshi.

He's the only one who was there aside from the senpai with him- and it seems like this ball isn't something a person like her would keep with her at school- though yes, Imayoshi-senpai isn't someone who'd bring such things too...but well...you just feel like its his. Well, if its not his, then she'll just probably throw it away

"I'm off to school now, dad- mom." It feels like its been forever since you last call someone mom- so calling her 'mom' kinda gives awkward feeling.

"Take care, (name)." Your dad kissed your forehead, and your mother...well...she was fidgeting, but she was still able to kiss you on your cheeks-holding you a little tighter in the process too- but you discarded the thought.

Good morning, (name)-chan." You slowly look over to the direction of the owner of the voice.

"Morning, senpai." You murmured, walking beside him to your classroom.

"Why are you in the first year's floor, senpai?" You asked him.

"I just want to walk my favorite kouhai to her room, is there something wrong with that?" He asked, his expression changed into a hurt one.

"Well- no, but-"

"I see no problem on that too." He commented. "And also, I have to see Momoi and Aomine too. Its to remind them about the practice later." He added.

"Ah sou." You quietly walked to your classroom where you found Momoi and Aomine was standing outside the room.

Momoi waved at the two of you and Aomine only stared.

"Ohayo (name)-chan~!" She greeted cheerfully.

"O-ohayo Momoi-chan" you greeted back.

"Eh? What's captain doin here?" Momoi asked Imayoshi.

"Ah, I walked (name) here." Imayoshi answered, making you frown "and also, about the practice later after class." He said, "Also," he leaned in closer, his voice was quiet- "take (name)-chan with you too." He instructed Momoi.

"Eh? Why?" Momoi tilted her head to the side, she's confused as to why Imayoshi wants you to tag along when you are needed to be on your own respective club. "But she needs to be on her-"

"Its alright Momoi-chan. Just take her with you later." This part was whispered by Imayoshi, surprising both you and Aomine on his sudden action.

"Eh-" there was a short pause, and Momoi smiled at Imayoshi immediately "yes, captain." She smiled.

This creeped out Aomine and you slightly.

"What was that about?" Aomine murmured and you shrugged in response.

"Who knows..." you looked away lazily and walked in to your classroom, with Aomine trailing behind you, talking about letting him copy your homework.

When Imayoshi sees this, he called after you.

"(Name)-chan, see you later." He called after you making you look at him again.

"..."

Imayoshi smiled as he left Momoi standing still at the hallway uhntil the bell startled her.

"Eh? Dai-chan? (Name)?! Captain?" she looked around, only finding out that everyone back inside their rooms already and she hurriedly made her way to her classroom.

Imayoshi stood in front of your house. He was holding a glassed ball on his hand. He was glaring at the house- well, specifically to the person cleaning the front yard.

The woman with blonde hair was sweeping the dried leaves. She was smiling and Imayoshi doesn't like it at all.

'I can't believe she has the nerve to come back' Imayoshi chuckled. 'Okay, let's have a fun moment for the mean time- let's see what you can do...'

---Kitsune~ Kitsune~

It was later that day when you walked to your respective clubs--but before you entered your club room, Momoi came up to you and smiled.

"Hi, (name)chan!" She greeted, you smiled back.

"Hi, Momoi-chan. Sup? Don't you have club today? What are yoiu doing here?"

"Well...you see...Kawamura-senpai said that you are not part of their club- and I asked if I cam have you with us in the basketball team- and he said yes!" She excitedly told you.

"Well- ugh...yes...I'm not yet part of their club--i haven't submitted my application--and I'll be handling it in now-"

"Ah, there you are (last name)-kun!" A male voice interrupted your conversation with the pink haired.

"Yes, Kawamura-senpai." You nodded at him, "here's my application fir the club-"

"I'm sorry (last name)!" He suddenly blurted, "but our club is not accepting first years fpr this semester."

"But you said-"

"Sorry again!"

You frowned. And you really really wanted to get into that kendo club.

"I know (name)-chan! The basketball team is looking for another assistant manager! I'll tell them about you!" Taking the application form from your hand, Momoi pulled you along with her to the gym.

"Wait-"

The whole time you were watching the practice of the basketball team and it was really boring- you weren't really into basketball...so you don't know anything.

"(Name)-chan, can you pass me a towel" you hear a call, and when you looked up it was Imayoshi and he is waiting for you to move- and you immediately did taking the towel on top of his bag which was resting beside you.

"Here senpai."

"Thank you." He smiled and sat down beside you.

"Um- good work for today, senpai." You said.

"Aa." Imayoshi nodded as he dried his sweat, "so did you decided to join our team now?" He asked.

"Eh? No- well...I'm not sure. I don't really know anything about basketball..."

"You don't have to know anything about basketball at all, (name)-chan." He said, "just sit there and be safe is all." He said.

"Eh-?" You were confused at his statement but decided to ignore him.

"Wakamatsu-senpai, good work." You greeted as the other players started approaching the bench where you and Imayoshi are. You passed Wakamatsu a towel and a bottle of water.

"Thank you (last name)"

"Hai." Imayoshi watched as you interact with his team- he doesn't really have anything to get worried about because you're safe here with him around.

"(Name)" Imayoshi called you after changed- you were helping Momoi get the the water bottles out to the trash.

You stopped and turned to Imayoshi's direction. He was holding your things and his own.

"What is it senpai?" You frowned, this is tiring and you just want to go home- and its your first day in the club too.

Too much work. Tiring and there's Imayoshi too- though you get along with him pretty unexpectedly well yesterday- he's still too much to handle at school- and you realize that you really don't want to hang around him- but yesterday's entirely different...

'This is confusing...my feelings' you decided then to ignore your thoughts.

"Yes senpai?" You answered.

"Let's go home." He called, walking to you and Momoi. "Momoi will take things from here." He said smiling.

"Eh? But-"

"Right Momoi-chan?" Imayoshi turned to Momoi who smiled back.

"Yes, (name)-chan." Momoi assured; You tilted your head in confusion... "I'll take care of everything from here."

With that, Imayoshi gave you your things and walked right behind him, leaving Momoi to do all that was left to be done.

"Is that really ok?" You asked Imayoshi.

"Don't worry about it too much, (name)" he said, patting your head, "I know you're tired, and Momoi is used to those things already."

"But still- isn't it-"

"Its fine." Imayoshi pressed. "And besides, we have to get you home- or your mother might eat your dad."


‘well, that isn't quite bad either---that will just make everything easier from here on...’  Imayoshi turned to your direction, waiting for your violent reaction.

"Huh?" You didn't hear him quite well. "I didn't catch that senpai."

"I said, I want get something to eat before we head home, come." He smiled, taking your hand and pulled you to the fast-food nearby- Maji Burger.
‘While I gain something good for myself, I cannot just let her lose the person she love and trust the most. And he’s a good person too.' Imayoshi’s talked to himself. ‘No. Not yet.’

“O-Okay.” You stuttered, “I thought you talking about mother eating or something like that...” you asked back.

Imayoshi smiled widely. ‘So you did hear me ahn?’ He chuckled at that, ‘well, not enough though.’

“You’re probably hearing stuffs, come. I’ll get you something good.”

“Is this okay?” you questioned, “I mean, you’re my senpai...”

“Nah, don't mind that. This is a payback for the dinner your father gave yesterday.”

*meanwhile*

Your mother is standing in front of your room.

“I thought, I have removed you out of his life already.” She gritted her teeth. “You and your whore of a mother.”

“Miyaka.”  Your father called her, startling her. “What are you doing in front of (name)’s room?” Your father asked Miyaka, the blonde woman who you call your mother.

“Nothing. I was just thinking of cleaning her room up for her.” She smiled at him innocently. “I- as her mother- I want to make up with her. We need to catch up and have sometime together don't you think?” she suggested.

“I don't think (name) would mind spending time with you.” Your father smiled. “But I don't think she’ll like it if you enter her room without permission.” He advised.

“Oh!” she smiled sadly, “I will try and get along with her again like before.”

“She still probably in shock to see that you are back again now...”

“Yes. She’s just probably shy.”

“I believe so, she’s just always inside her room since you were gone.”

“She must've been sad. And Mother’s car accident too must’ve been a big shock for her as well.”

“Yes. Mother’s accident surprised (name) the most- they were very close. And to think that on that day too...”

You father frowned at her statement.

“Are you going to stay here tonight again?” he asked instead, “What do you want for dinner?”

“Anything.” She turned to him completely, wrapping her arms around your father neck, “What do you mean tonight?” She asked back, “I’ll be staying with you two forever now.” She smiled happily as she informed him of his answer.

Your father’s eyes widened at her- he doesn't know if he’s happy or something...


or probably not at all.
